Status update

Hey all,

It's been a while since the last post, and I have a bit of free time, so the planets seem properly aligned for a short update.

I didn't have much time to dedicate to Debucon these past few months. My job is closely related to sport events, and the Olympic Games are always an especially busy period. However, now that the main event is over I have a bit more time on my hands. I'm going to take a bit of time to rest because I'm severely sleep deprived right now, and I'm still going to be a bit busy until the Paralympics are over, but my schedule is freeing up a bit so yay.

It doesn't mean I didn't do shit though. NPCs now have a proper schedule and will enter and leave areas throughout the day instead of staying in the same place all day long. Part of their schedules is static and pre-determined (for example Emma will stay behind the counter at Omnimarket every Monday, Tuesday and Thurday afternoon, and the week-end all day long), and the rest is randomly generated once a day, when you first launch the game. And these schedules will eventually be customizable in the Customization Tools!

Of fucking course Isabelle had to hide right behind that bench when I tried to capture her entering the Park.

You may also notice that the Park looks a bit nicer ; I received some help with a few sprites to revamp some of the existing areas. Omnimarket had a bit of a glow-up too! Last notable thing is that characters are no longer butt naked, they are now in underwear as I started to make preparations for when I start adding outfits. Good for them! I'm also experimenting with another minigame, but I'm not sure I'm going to include it in the next update.
